UPSTAIRS LIVING ROOM
We think breaking up the furniture in the living room will help improve how you live in the space. Creating more separate seating options will not only make the space feel more complete, but it will also provide more a comfortable entertaining environment. We’d recommend a sofa in place of where the sectional currently sits, two chairs along the back window (you’d see these when you first walk in the front door) and two poufs that can either sit across from the chairs on the other side of the couch or be placed next to the fireplace. We added some green accents in to give the room a fun vibe, but more can certainly be added with pillows, throw blankets, coffee table books, etc.

DINING
We’d recommend changing the orientation of the dining table so it’s more visible and takes up a larger portion of the overall space in the main living area. We’ve included a smattering of dining chairs that would push the dining area into a more modern vibe. We’ve also included a few light fixture options that would bring in an element of boho. A feature piece of art on the far wall (to the right of the windows) would really help draw the eye to the furthest part of the room. We love the idea of a custom-made macrame wall hanging. One of the local artists we work for could make something for you in the $500-800 range. Here is her Instagram so you can check out her look and if it’s something of interest we can make an introduction.

PRIMARY BEDROOM
While the debated on whether to get a new bed is undecided, we’ve included some bed options for you to consider that can at the very least drive what kind of headboard we recommend. We love the idea of doing a seating area where you currently have the nursery chair, and any of the chairs we selected for the living room would work in here as well.

OFFICE
We did search for some standing desk options, but were a little underwhelmed with the selection from a design standpoint. We’d recommend either sticking with the one you have since this is more of a functional need, or you could consider adding another regular-sized deck in the room as well. We included a few regular-sized options just in case. Since this is Helena’s space, we love the idea of really going all out with the boho decor. If you’re on board with that, we can include some fun accessories and a light fixture in the next round.

KITCHEN
We hadn’t talked bar stools during the consultation, but we included a few options that we think would work really well with the other items we’ve suggested in the main living space.
