Kris + Brett,
It was so nice meeting with you! I’ve compiled the below notes to give you a punch list for prepping your home for listing. Feel free to text/call me (614-638-2169) with any questions as you’re working through everything.
Thanks!
Kate
Overall
- De-clutter and pre-pack as many personal items as possible
- De-personalize any areas as much as possible, including removing family photos, art, and personalized décor
- For bathrooms - we recommend having them be completely empty, with minimal décor and personal items like trash cans, rugs, etc. tucked away.
- Remove all signs of pets throughout the home (beds, leashes, bowls, etc.)
Dining Room
- Wash rug and cut the rug pad a bit so it doesn’t show
- Leave only one item of decor in the center of the dining table
- Remove the toy chest
Kitchen
- Remove dog bowls
- Clear everything off the counters except for the following items:
Garage Entry Area
- Remove shelving unit
- Pre-pack some of the items from the coat closet - Office
- Remove some of the plants (including the one next to the mirror and the one on the wall to the right of the desk)
- Remove everything but the lamp and computer from the desk
- Thin out some of the books/decor from the shelves - Primary Bedroom
- If possible, remove the dresser and TV and hang art where the TV was
- Remove the dog steps next to the bed
- Clear everything off the nightstands with the exception of the lamps
- Remove the rugs from the bathroom
- Tuck the hamper in the closet
- Remove all toiletries from the counter and shower
- Remove some of the items from the shelves in the bathroom (linen closet area)
