Overall

• Pre-pack as many of your personal items as possible

• Anything remaining in closets/cabinets should be as neat and tidy looking as possible

• Remove all evidence of pets (food bowls, litter boxes, etc.)

• Consider replacing curtains with white sheer curtains

Living Room

• Remove shelves from behind the sofa so you can push the rug and sofa back further

• Try the sofa oriented to the left with the yellow chair and pouf facing it on the corner of the rug by the dining area

• Clear off everything from the console table under the TV aside from 1-2 pieces of decor

• Hang the big piece of art from the bedroom above the sofa

• Remove the dart board

Kitchen

• Remove the additional pieces of furniture

• Clear everything off the counters with the exception of the knife set and electric tea kettle

• Clear off refrigerator

• Leave only one dish towel

• Clear off everything from above cabinets except for the colorful bowls and arrange them in a nice way

Dining Room

• Replace with new dining chairs (see options in shopping section below)

• Remove all art and hang larger scale art

• Use one piece of decor for the center of the dining table

• Remove the rug

Bathroom

• Tuck away all personal items, including toiletries/towels you use regularly

• Remove all rugs and bath mats

• Completely clear off all surfaces

Office

• Remove as much as possible from the desk

• Reposition the desk so it’s in the center of the room

• Remove all additional bookshelves, leaving the piece where you hang jackets (leave only one jacket and 2 pairs of shoes)

• Try putting one of the floor lamps next to the desk to see if that works well

• You could also try placing the rug that you remove from the dining room to see if that feels right

Extra Bedroom

• Remove everything but the sectional, TV and console table

• Remove the desk from the closet as well

Primary Bedroom

• Remove the desk, dresser and chest

• Purchase matching nightstands and lamps (see recommendations below)

• Get a white duvet cover to make it feel hotel-like

Patio

• Place chairs to the side of the patio with the storage door

• Everything else can come out
