Overall

• Pre-pack as many of your personal items as possible

• Anything remaining in closets/cabinets should be as neat and tidy looking as possible

• Remove any art/decor with anything religious, political or personal (i.e. family photos)

Living Room

• Move sofa so it’s facing the front window

• Remove lamp by the door and replace with the other floor lamp

• Remove the chair, cabinet and tuba from under the window

• Simplify the bookshelves a bit more

• Remove the sun art from the wall, as well as the piece of art above the bookshelves

Office

• Pare down the items on the bookshelves by about 50% to make sure the room feels larger in photos

• Remove as much as possible from the desk

• If possible, remove some of the filing cabinets to open up the space a bit

Dining Room

• Remove the hutch and lamp

• Move the table with the plant to the corner of the room

• Remove the red thing from the corner

Kitchen

• Remove trash can

• Clear everything off of the refrigerator

• Remove everything from the counters with the exception of the utensil holder, tea kettle and the light in the corner

• Remove towel holders

• Remove rug from under the dining table

• Remove stool from the counter

Living Room (with fireplace)

• Remove everything from the lower level of the coffee table

• Remove the rugs (in front of the fireplace, runner and the mat by the back door)

Primary Bedroom + Bathroom

• Remove the red rug in hallway to the bathroom, as well as the drawers

• Remove the magazine holder and toilet brush from the bathroom

• Remove all small items fro the walls in the bathroom

Miscellaneous

• Remove items from stairwells, including art

• Remove all bath mats/rugs

• Make sure basement is as tidy as possible, but no need for major updates here

• Simplify the decor in a few places in the backyard, but nothing major needed back there — it’s beautiful!!
